Overseas

We have established the Overseas Division and have been investing in major international markets using our own account to be best prepared for re-entry into overseas real estate markets by Japanese investors. This proactive approach has started to steadily bring results and has enabled us to accumulate valuable know-how. As of the end of December 2007, our overseas investment balance was 14 properties, the value of which amounted to \21bn on a property-price basis.

Our fundamental overseas investment policy is to act with local partners. We are currently expanding our strategic partnership network in the US, Europe and Asia. Aiming to be a gatekeeper for Japanese investors for their interests in overseas opportunities, we will conduct business with mid- to long-term views.
